Spring Branch Memorial Youth Lacrosse Coaches Needed (Houston, TX) Established lacrosse program near in Memorial/Galleria area. Spring Branch Memorial Lacrosse Club is looking for coaches to train and develop their growing population of lacrosse players for 5/6 grade YG team, 7th grade and 8th grade teams. Candidates should be experienced lacrosse players and coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. The regular season starts in January and ends in April. Saint Mary’s Hall is seeking assistant men’s lacrosse coaches who will work with the varsity team for the duration of the upcoming 2013 season. Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of the fundamentals and the communication skills necessary to teach them to our players. They should also have a genuine love for the game and for working with student-athletes. Ideal candidates would have experience on the offensive end of the field and/or experience coaching the face-off game. Additionally, previous experience coaching at the high school or playing at the college level is preferred. There is also the possibility of additional coaching opportunities helping instruct an after-school physical education (fundamental lacrosse skills) class, Nov. '12-Jan '13. Preseason practice begins February 4, and the season runs through the end of April.

Saint Mary’s Hall is a coeducational private school located in northeast San Antonio. The school boasts a strong lacrosse tradition dating back to the beginnings of competitive lacrosse in the state, winning three straight THSLL championships from 1998-2000. Saint Mary’s Hall competes in the Southwest Preparatory Conference, consisting of independent schools in Texas and Oklahoma, and participates as a member of the Texas High School Lacrosse League’s Division II - San Antonio District. The program experienced success in its first year at the Division II level, finishing 7-1 to close out to 2012 regular season and finishing second overall after an appearance in the district championship game. Salary: Stipend. Appointment: Part-Time, 4+ months.

The Woodlands Lacrosse Club is seeking coaches for all levels (Youth and High School Varsity) in The Woodlands, Texas
The Woodlands Lacrosse Club is actively searching for coaches at all levels; 5th Grade - High School Varsity. The club includes elite club team athletes as well as beginning players. The program benefits from a local youth feeder program and has a club board that provides a strong support system.

Requirements include:
lacrosse playing experience at the high school or preferably college level; at least two years of coaching experience; strong leadership, motivational and organizational skills; a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the sport and players.

The ideal candidate should be interested in building the program and molding individual talent into a championship team while emphasizing teamwork, fundamentals, good sportsmanship, leadership, and respect. Candidates will be required to administer the program according to the principles and philosophy of the High School Varsity coaches, the board of directors and in accordance with the rules of the THSLL (Texas High School Lacrosse League). In addition, candidates must pass a background check and adhere to the coaches code of conduct.

This is a competitively paid, part-time position requiring attendance at all practices, games, and when requested, club board meetings. This is a coaching-only position; no teaching positions are available.

Georgetown Lacrosse is seeking two experienced and highly dedicated coaches to help bring our program to the next level. Competing in the Central Texas Division II, we are entering our fourth year as a high school program. The new youth feeder system has over fifty players registered in the first year, and we are expecting the numbers at both the high school and feeder program to combine for over 150 total players in the 2013 season.

The ideal candidates will have lacrosse experience playing and/or coaching at the high school or college level; possess strong player development, communication, and have a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the sport and players. The coaches must be able to effectively motivate and develop both the novice and experienced player, be able to attract new athletes to the sport, and be available for all scheduled practices and games. Coaches will be compensated monthly over the course of the fall/spring seasons and is very competitive.
