Latest North District News


1) Four teams will be eligible for the DII post season regional playoffs. The winner of each regional playoff will proceed to the State Championship.

2) The top 4 teams from each region in the North District, East and West, are eligible for post season play to be played on Monday, April 21 following the end of season, as follows. Seeding will be determined as in past years based on the guidelines in the THSLL Rulebook. The top seeds (Seed 1 and Seed 2) from each region will be the home/host team.

Game 1 - East #4 seed v. West #1 seed
Game 2 - West #4 seed v. East #1 seed
Game 3 - East #3 seed v. West #2 seed
Game 4 - West #3 seed v. East #2 seed

3) The winners of these 4 games qualify for Regional Playoffs the following weekend.

4) In order to determine seeding of these 4 teams for the Regional Playoffs, the coaches from the 8 qualifying teams will determine the district rankings at the scheduled post-season coaches meeting on Saturday, April 19. Each of the 8 coaches will rank those teams 1 through 8 at the Saturday meeting. Votes will be tallied to determine the seedings for the following weekend. Once the Monday games are complete, we will immediately know seedings and in which regional each team will be playing.

North D1 3rd place team hosts North D1 6th place team on 4/22

North D1 4th place team hosts North D1 5th place team on 4/22



If 3rd place team wins, 3rd place team is the North D1 #3 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B3 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and plays in the Central Super Regional Tournament.


If 6th place team wins, we re-seed and 6th place team is the North D1 #4 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B4 for Super Regional Tournament bracket purposes, and plays in the North Super Regional Tournament, and the winner of the 4th place team vs. 5th place team game is the North #3 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B3 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and plays in the Central Super Regional Tournament.


If 4th place team wins, and the 3rd place team wins, the 4th place team is the North D1 #4 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B4 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and plays in the North Super Regional Tournament.



If the 5th place team wins, and the third place team wins, the fifth place team is the North D1 #4 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B4 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and play in the North Super Regional Tournament.



The 1st place team is the North D1 #1 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B1 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and plays in the North Super Regional Tournament, and have a first round bye.



The 2nd place team is the North D1 #2 seed for the Super Regional Tournament – B2 for Super Regional bracket purposes, and play in the Central Super Regional Tournament and have a first round bye.


STX Recalls Shield Throat Protector Due to Laceration Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Consumers should stop using this product - the STX Shield Throat Protector - unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Recall Summary

Hazard: The Shield Throat Protector can crack or break when struck by a lacrosse ball, posing a laceration hazard to the user.

Recall Details

Units: About 4,000

Description: This recall involves the STX Shield throat protector. The throat protector is black and has the letters "STX" engraved on the outer surface of the protector. It has straps attached by silver screws on each side and bottom of the protector to attach it to a lacrosse goalie's helmet below the helmet's chin guard.

Incidents/Injuries: STX has received one report of the Shield throat protector breaking, resulting in reported bruising and lacerations to the user's neck.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the Shield throat protector and contact STX and return the product for a full refund.
